Like Juggling Fists

So, I spent today driving around from park to park checking out where exactly the Trinity river goes and what I'm allowed to do around it.  I found a way onto the Levee road by 183 near Regal Row.  I drove up onto the levee and realized that it's not very interesting aside from the view.  There were train workers doing their thing on some nearby tracks and they were gawking at me making me feel like I was doing something wrong.  There was no signage indicating that I shouldn't be there, btw.  I soon left.

I looped around back up Harry Hines so that I was going southbound by the Webb Chapel extension.  The Southbound onramp from HH to I35 has a little side road just past the bridge.  Today, I explored that little road.  I soon realized that there wasn't much to see, so I did a few muddy donuts and split.  I spent the rest of the day washing the mud off of my car ;)

In the evening, I went to kung fu class. It was the first time I've actually had somebody's fists coming at me in this program.  It really was like juggling their hands.  I could easily predict where they were going and often reacted too soon and gave them the opportunity to change their minds.  I need to learn to wait for them to actually get beyond the point of no return before I react.  We also studied the stance for the triangle punch and did some footwork exercises.  I'm fairly limber, but the pigeon-toed stance doesn't come completely natural to me.  I'll definitely have to work on that.

Tomorrow, I see my chiro for the first time since starting this class.  With a strong focus on spine flexibility, strength and alignment, I'm curious to see if there's any difference in what the chiro does.
