|They sprayed for mosquitoes in our 'hood last night
City of Dallas latest updates:http://www.dallascityhall.com/dallas/eng/html/mosq_latest_updates.html12 August 2004: The City scheduled spraying for mosquitoes Friday night in the Love Field and North Oak Cliff areas after confirmation of mosquito samples from these areas tested positive for West Nile Virus, City of Dallas health officials announced today.
Weather permitting, spraying is scheduled Friday night-Saturday morning from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., in two areas:
* Love Field area roughly bounded by: Mockingbird Lane, Lemmon Avenue, Highland Park city limits, Dallas North Tollway, Wycliff Avenue, back to Harry Hines Blvd.
* North Oak Cliff area roughly bounded by: R.L. Thornton Freeway, 1st Street/Zang Blvd./Okenwald, Colorado Blvd., Cedar Hill/Adams streets, Centre Street, south along Beckley Avenue, back to R.L. Thornton Freeway.
The City will also spray insecticide tonight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in Far North Dallas within the boundaries of Arapaho Road, Meandering Way, Spring Valley Road and Preston Road...( more info on health risksCollapse )
